Insurance That Covers Pregnancy How Does Marriage Affect Insurance With Pregnancy?

How does marriage affect insurance with pregnancy? - insurance that covers pregnancy

Ok, so recently discovered that my girlfriend is pregnant. We're getting married in two months. He is currently involved, assurances of his mother, the pregnancy. When we get married and buy our own insurance policy, there will be some problems with the new insurance for them? I know that by HIPAA, that pregnancy should be considered a preexisting condition, if the person insured that the current pregnancy had covers. I am afraid there is a clause in the fine print, the cooperative insurance. strive to achieve. Anyone who has information / history to life for me?

Because you and your friends are currently pregnant, and she will not be able to bring about a "New / family" policy.

However, if your friend is responsible for the policies of his mother, that she had benefits through COBRA measure contiune (provided that the employer more than 20 employees). The reason for this is the clause that talks about the transition from a dependent position that is not dependent. After his wife, she is no longer dependent on their mother - who take their performance to qualify for up to 36 months - plenty of time for delivery.

Once the baby is born - they are your spouse and children must be given to a policy.

did not have a job that provides insurance cover for pregnancy? Problems could be that your current doctor may be covered by insurance. When you take an insurance agency independent of the monthly premium much more expensive than it is now by an employer.
