in the last 10 years I have involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and have noticed a positive change in the attitude of my "little brothers"
I rent one or two "economically disadvantaged" students in my office work during the summer in mol / staff / etc
Some came in medicine and the young man, he was recruited in 2005, he joined the Navy and Health (Medicine)
Basically, these kids give us the responsibility for training and the chance of a positive employment reference gain and fatten their wallets.
No, it's a good idea, though. However, I am involved in a group of parents of children with incurable diseases - that packages sent to hospitals and homes, as well as offer letters and characters CaringBridge guest books and support, some members have close links with foundations such as the House Ronald McDonald House , Make A Wish Foundation and other charities.
I have to help train a hockey program for children until it is interrupted for any reason that my bitterness towards coaching me quit for good.
I do not now because I travel a lot, but in the past. It can be very rewarding.
